L-Citrulline is an amino acid that plays an important role in nitric oxide metabolism and regulation. In the body, L-Citrulline is converted to L-Arginine to support L-Arginine and nitric oxide levels. Increased production of nitric oxide promotes vascular dilation which improves oxygen and blood circulation throughout the body. Research has shown that L-Citrulline raises plasma L-Arginine, thereby allowing higher protein synthesis and protein content in muscle during exercise.

  • Helps support nitric oxide metabolism
  • Helps support muscle protein synthesis and relive muscle fatigue
  • Helps support vascular health
  • No added or artificial flavors, colors, or preservatives

Take 1 scoop daily with 8 oz of water or beverage of your choice, before workouts, or as recommended by a nutritionally informed physician.

Not Sure It is really citrulline

Posted by iHerb Customer on Jan 06, 2018 | Verified Purchase

I started this as a supplement about the same time I started creating. Both seemed to work nice together. This I got from Iherb the Creative I got locally. Anyway I got a different brand of citrulline when I was in the states this past November. Just tried it and it was sour. This brand had no taste. After researching a bit I found out that citrulline has a sour taste. So I’m not sure what this is but it has no taste and doesn’t mix well. The one that I have with the sour tastes mixes well with water.

Should be considered an essential supplement for resistance training

Posted by iHerb Customer on Aug 04, 2017 | Verified Purchase

Not that it matters, but the taste is better than malate form. 4g l-citrulline seems to give the same effect compared to 6g mallate, and it can be explained because citrulline mallate is only 70% citrulline. For those that never used l-citrulline in Resistance/aerobic training, it makes you a lot less fatigued, you recover faster and gives 1-2 additional reps lifting weights. This is especially good when working out in the morning, as I do. Research suggests it also helps in protein metabolism, easing liver job. It may help if you have a high protein diet for Resistance training. Everyone should try at least 4-6g 60 minutes before training for a month. For me it is in the essential suplement list together with creatine.
