As a thickener this is great. However, other than baking I struggled to find uses for this gelatin. The instructions on the packet say to mix 1 tablespoon with cold juice and drink immediately but I found it very quickly starts to gelatinise and the texture put me off (reminded me of the wallpaper type paste kids are given to use at school). Prefer the Now Foods Beef Gelatin capsules instead - they are easier to take (and very portable).

I am trying beef gelatin to see if it will help with my hip joint,i know its a long shot but im willing to give a go,maybe in a few months ,fingers crossed,i will feel some progres.

I haven't used it for long but it's very MESSY to use and unpleasnt to drink; isn't nearly as good for joint pain as Glucosamine Chondroitin MSM. For collagen, I will go back to capsules but for my skin not joint pain.
