I suffer from Candida and have used numerous supplements to combat the problem. Many I have liked ( i.e. Fungal Defense, Primal Defense) but this hands down is the best nutritional supplement I have ever taken. It has truly reinvented my intestinal health. My bowels have become regular and I am digesting better. Water retention has vastly improved. Energy levels are way up. Mental clarity and focus is also much better. I have recommended this product to all my friends and I would recommend it to anyone who is interested in overall good health. I have used three months worth of Dr Ohirra's Probiotics 12 PLUS and believe that the Original and Professional Formulas are equally effective. As for Dosage, I would highly recommend the loading phase of 5 pills in the morning and evening on an empty stomach. If you are new to probiotics, you may want to consider a smaller dose to start with as this product may cause gas, bloating and general stomach discomfort for a week or so. This is a good thing though as it is a sign that your body is experiencing a "Healing Crisis" as it detoxifies and renews your internal environment. I also recommended taking a good quality probiotic in conjunction with Dr Ohirra's like Primal Defense to repopulate your intestinal tract with health flora. Dr Ohirra's is a probiotic, meaning it creates a suitable environment in the GI Tract for healthy bacteria to thrive. After ceasing to use this product for a month, I have continued to see the same beneficial results from it , which tells me that this product truly does "recreate" your intestinal environment.

I have been taking this product for about two weeks and have noticed many positive effects on my overall health. I've noticed marked improvement in stamina and a sustained level of alertness and energy throughout the day unlike a quick spike then fall with other stimulants like coffee. In addition, I've noticed less water retention (probably due to balancing of hormonal levels) and an increase in sexual virility. Also muscle strength and fatigue seemed to improve after moderate exercise. These results lead me to believe that Maca has a positive effect on testosterone production. For the most part I am pleased with this product's results. However, this product gave me lots of gas and constipation. Not a good sign when introducing a new supplement or food to your diet. I tried decreasing the dosage to half a teaspoon but to no avail. I did a little research and found that the indigenous people of South America who use Maca almost never eat it raw but in some cooked form. A Ha! I then cooked a bit of the Maca powder on the stove with some water and made a sort of paste which I then added to smoothies. I still had some gas and constipation but this seemed to lessen a bit. However, by cooking the powder, it gave the Maca a chemical smell that I found unappealing. So in conclusion, if you have a sensitive digestive system like me you may want to try an extractive form of Maca like I will be doing or add this powder to cooked recipes (i.e cookies, hot cereal). This raw form of Maca has a butterscotch smell and taste to it. *One final note* Refrigeration of this product, although not recommended on the package, might be a good idea. I gave a friend a small amount to try in a Ziploc bag and he informed me that in a few days it had molded and he had to discard it.

So this has filled out my dental hygiene regiment wonderfully. Here is the routine I use to maintain a healthy mouth and white teeth (not blinding movie star white but a nice natural stain-free white). ______ I don't use toothpaste as they almost all contain an abrasive of some sort which is unnecessary to remove plaque (the very reason for brushing). Instead, I brush with regular 3% diluted hydrogen peroxide found at any grocery or drug store. The HP acts to gently remove the plaque as well disinfect the mouth and gum-line. Because of this, it is unnecessary to vigorously brush the teeth, which over time can lead to damage to the enamel of the teeth. Just brush the teeth gently in a circular motion on the surface of the teeth and at the gum-line. If one has mercury fillings, diluting the HP with water may be beneficial to avoid mercury degradation and leaching, although I feel dilution is unnecessary as it is already diluted to 3% out of the bottle. __________________ Once or twice a week after brushing with the HP., I use the Tooth Brightener to gently exfoliate and remineralize the teeth. I noticed after the first use a marked improvement in the shade of my teeth. It really worked to remove the stubborn stains between the bottom incisors often caused by drinking staining liquids like coffee, tea, and wine. Again, brush gently w/ the tooth whitener and avoid vigorous brushing back and forth. _______________________ And of course daily flossing is a must! If the traditional floss in the rolls isn't to your liking, I recommend the EZ Floss picks sold everywhere.
